Here’s the latest update on WWE Champion Cody Rhodes’ status, following his legitimate injuries at Elimination Chamber 2025.
Rhodes was involved in what many are calling one of the biggest wrestling segments of all time, with John Cena turning heel and attacking him at the MArch 1 PLE.
Following Cena, The Rock and Travis Scott beating Rhodes down, reports indicated that the WWE Champion suffered a busted eardrum and black eye during this segment.
An update emerged on Rhodes’ status on the March 3 Raw episode, with Michael Cole noting that he had spoken to the American Nightmare earlier that day.
While Rhodes wasn’t on the show, it was announced that he will appear on Friday’s (March 7) edition of SmackDown.
Rhodes is still being advertised for this show, meaning that he hasn’t been taken off the road due to his injuries at the time of writing.
Cody Rhodes last wrestled in a dark match after the February 17 Raw episode, against Carmelo Hayes.
His most recent televised bout saw him and Jey Uso defeat Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga on the February 7 SmackDown episode.
Another WWE star has been pulled from events following Elimination Chamber, which you can read more about right here.
