Cody Rhodes Opens Up On Stress Of WWE Main Roster Television

Speaking on What Do You Wanna Talk About? with Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley, Cody asked what the group’s goals are on SmackDown, to which she said they wanted to ‘run’ the show.

Cody would say that he is open to them running the show, opening up on the stress of working main roster television.

He said:

“There’s a lot of segments, and you have those days where you get there and they’re like ‘alright seg 1 arrival, seg 1 promo, seg 16’s gonna be the match, but then there’s all these other ones’, again time management.

“Here’s Tommy, here’s Kasama, here’s the new guy Zane from the writing crew, you’ve gotta do this warm up and it’s sponsored by Googoo Gaga, something that’s, it’s a contractual deal and I didn’t know and what do I wear? Am I in gear? Oh now it’s five segments before your match, it’s just a whole lot of stress, so yeah, (Fatal Influence can) run it.”

Changes Made To WWE Television Under TKO

Since the TKO takeover of WWE was finalised back in September 2023, there has been a lot of changes made to WWE television.

The main change that fans have been outspoken about is the increase of adverts during the shows, both on the ring mat and during the broadcast, which has cut down the amount of wrestling presented on the show.

TKO has also seen an influx of celebrity involvement, with Pat McAfee’s inclusion into the WrestleMania main event being the breaking point for many fans, though TKO reportedly plan on continuing to feature celebrities on the show following WrestleMania, as seen with the recent Raw appearance by Eric Andre, where he was taken out by Jacob Fatu.
