Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes on SmackDown

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was attacked by a familiar face after last night’s SmackDown (February 28) went off the air.

With the world anticipating whether Cody Rhodes will sell his soul to The Rock at Elimination Chamber, last night’s SmackDown at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena closed with The Final Boss delivering a special present to The American Nightmare.

Gifting Cody a custom truck featuring The American Nightmare branding, The Rock would also send in a video message, which dived into highly personal territory regarding Cody’s late father Dusty Rhodes.

While that was where the TV feed for SmackDown ended, after the show Cody got on a microphone and addressed the crowd in Toronto, however, this was short lived as Rhodes was attacked by a member of The Rock’s family – Solo Sikoa.

As can be seen in the fan captured footage down below, Sikoa initially got the better of Rhodes after the blindsiding attack, however, the tables would turn after Sikoa attempted to get a chair from the ringside area.

Cody rallied and ultimately delivered a Cross Rhodes to Sikoa, standing tall ahead of tonight’s Elimination Chamber.

The attack was the second in recent weeks from Sikoa, who previously jumped Rhodes at the end of the February 7 episode of SmackDown.

The pair also shared a lengthy rivalry throughout much of 2024, including a main event match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam.

You can check out footage of the attack down below.
