Cedric Alexander Potential Hurt Syndicate Reunion Update

Cedric Alexander in WWE next to the Hurt Syndicate in AEW

Cedric Alexander has provided an update on his potential plans to reunite with his former stablemates MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.

Since being released by WWE in February there has been plenty of speculation linking Cedric Alexander to a move to AEW, and in-turn a reunion with The Hurt Syndicate (fka The Hurt Business in WWE).

What instead came was Alexander arriving in TNA Wrestling, leading to questions regarding whether Alexander is still eyeing up a spot back alongside MVP, Lashley and Benjamin.

During an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, Alexander said he views the move to TNA as an opportunity to prove what he’s capable of on his own, but still hopes to join up with The Hurt Syndicate “one day”:

“It’s a really tiny thing. It would be so easy to be like, ‘Alright, cool, just pop right back into the Hurt Syndicate/Business and kick it with the boys,’ which would be great and something I do want to do one day, but I do feel like this is an opportunity to expand my wings and show what I’m capable of on my own.

“When the time is right, maybe the band does get back together and we wreck shop again.”

While it may not be a full reunion of the entire group, Alexander and Shelton Benjamin will team together for the first time since September 2023 at an independent event next month.

After losing to Mustafa Ali in his TNA in-ring debut at Slammiversary, Alexander will get the opportunity to challenge for Leon Slater’s TNA X-Division Championship at TNA Emergence on Friday, August 15.
