Brock Lesnar Won’t Be Roman Reigns Next Challenger?

Brock Lesnar returned at SummerSlam to confront Roman Reigns. After the show went off the air, Lesnar also attacked John Cena.

While many figured this meant an immediate program between Lesnar and Reigns, it seems fans may have to wait. According to a report from PWInsider, another challenger may be next for Reigns.

The report states Finn Balor is next in line to challenge Reigns. The report also says that the match will take place at Extreme Rules next month.

This seems like a bit of a swerve. At the time of this writing, the title celebration on SmackDown had not occurred. We’ll see if Balor or Lesnar crashes the party.

Either way, if Balor looks to be the next challenger, I’m sure he won’t want a public contract signing for this one.

UPDATE: Balor appeared during the Family Celebration and challenged Reigns for next week.
