A WWE NXT star has called for a match against former Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, amid main roster call-up speculation.
With Becky Lynch set to challenge AJ Lee in a rematch for the Women’s Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 42, another star has expressed interest in facing The Man.
Speaking on Busted Open, Kelani Jordan named Becky Lynch as the star she feels she needs to stand across the ring from during her WWE career.
The former NXT Women’s North American Champion said:
“I would love to wrestle Becky (Lynch). Becky is a smooth worker. I just feel like the way that she moves in the ring, her footwork, the way that she can just bring it out of her opponents…
“When I was fairly new in NXT, I saw her bring it out of Tiffany (Stratton), I saw her bring it out of Lyra (Valkyria).
“I would love to just be across the ring from someone who is so passionate, who is so good. Even in promos, she just brings that fire out of you, and I would love that.”

When asked if she does believe that Becky Lynch is the best women’s wrestler in the world, Jordan replied:
“After Kelani Jordan.”
Currently in her fourth year as part of NXT, there has been some speculation about Kelani Jordan receiving a main roster call-up soon.
While Jordan’s partner, US Champion Carmelo Hayes, currently wrestles on SmackDown, we could see the ex-TNA Knockouts World Champion show up on Raw to confront her dream opponent.
Depending on the result of her championship match at WrestleMania, we could also see Lynch appear for a different brand, whether she pays a visit to NXT as champion, or makes a more permanent move to SmackDown.
