After weeks of changes to the WWE announce teams, there was another adjustment for tonight’s episode of SmackDown.
Last week, Corey Graves was attacked by Brock Lesnar and hit with two F5s when he tried to save Michael Cole from Lesnar.
This has written Graves off TV for the time being, meaning he needed to be replaced tonight.
Last week, The Miz came out and joined Michael Cole to call the show, but Miz’s stay at the desk isn’t permanent.
As SmackDown opened tonight, Cole kicked off the show by introducing his partner on the commentary team, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.
Two weeks ago, Booker T called SmackDown alongside his NXT colleague Vic Joseph when neither Corey Graves nor Cole were at the show due to Worlds Collide.
As of this writing, there’s been no word on how long Graves is planned to be away, and whether or not Booker T is planned to fill in for the entire duration of that time.
SmackDown tonight is headlined by Tiffany Stratton defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill and Nia Jax in a three-way match.
