Another Change To WWE Commentary

There’s going to be another change to WWE commentary for the shows taking place tonight, Friday, September 12.

Last Friday, Michael Cole announced that he and Corey Graves would be the SmackDown commentary team for the next couple of months.

This is due to Joe Tessitore’s college football duties making him unavailable on some Fridays, and Wade Barrett currently taking a break he’d booked in advance nine months ago.

However, tonight’s SmackDown, which is in Norfolk, Virginia, will be immediately followed by WWE & AAA Worlds Collide, which is in Las Vegas.

Since the start of the WWE and AAA partnership, Corey Graves has been the voice of those shows – he was the lead announcer for the first Worlds Collide in June, then TripleMania last month.

At Worlds Collide, he was joined by Konnan at the commentary desk, and at TripleMania, he was joined by both Konnan and JBL.

In regards to tonight, since Corey Graves does not have magical teleportation powers, he’ll only be able to call one of the shows – either SmackDown or Worlds Collide – and will miss the other.

There’s been no announcement so far as to which of those it’ll be, but we’ll keep you posted as updates emerge.
