WWE's Roman Reigns and The Demon Finn Balor

WWE’s Finn Balor has given his honest thoughts on Roman Reigns ahead of a potential clash at WrestleMania 42.

Roman Reigns officially chose to face CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 following his Royal Rumble victory earlier this month, seemingly locking in the clash between Punk and Roman for the show.

However, Punk must first get through Finn Balor at Elimination Chamber this weekend, with Finn potentially set to disrupt the main event of WrestleMania with a victory.

Balor himself has had his own issues with Roman Reigns in the past, and he has now given his honest thoughts on him ahead of potentially joining the match.

Speaking to Adrian Hernandez, he said:

“As a professional, he’s one of the greatest of all time. I remember the first time I locked up with Roman was my first night on Raw, and when I locked up with him, it was a different feeling like ‘oh, this is how they do it here’. It was a real eye opening moment for me. I had a similar one in Japan when I wrestled Jushin Liger.

“But with Roman, he’s just at another level, and is someone I admire and respect, but obviously there is still a little bit of bitterness, that top rope malfunction. That’s another what if. What if the top rope didn’t break? Roman was laying in the middle of the ring and I was about to hit the foot stomp.

“That’s something I’d, not really forgotten about, but maybe moved on from, but with what’s going on with Punk and Roman I felt like ‘oh’, it kinda reminded me, I’ve still got an issue with him too…”
