Maxxine Dupri has pitched a change to a match at WWE WrestleMania 42 on April 18 & 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A former WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Maxxine Dupri approaches WrestleMania 42 without the title, having lost it to Becky Lynch in January of this year.
With Lynch no longer WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, following her loss to AJ Lee at Elimination Chamber last month, the pair will square off for the title at WrestleMania 42.
It’s a match that Dupri has her eyes on, going so far as to suggest a change to it in comments made on the Reality of Wrestling The Collection podcast, stating:
“If I could write it right now, I would turn that Women’s Intercontinental Championship match between AJ Lee and Becky Lynch into a Triple Threat. That would be my dream.
“To share the ring with AJ Lee would be unbelievable. She’s been such a wonderful mentor to me since returning to our locker room; it’s been so special.
“And I’ve got a few hits I’d like to lay on Becky. I’ve got some pent-up aggression that I would like to unleash.”

Dupri would share an insight into her imposter syndrome feelings that followed her during her time as champion.
The Long Road Ahead To WWE WrestleMania 42
The period between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania is also an interesting time in the WWE landscape, with the earlier Premium Live Event and Elimination Chamber informing the championship matches that will be seen at the iconic staple of the PLE calendar.
At the time of writing, six matches have been announced for April 18 & 19, with only Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar not having a championship attached.
With two nights to fill, there can be no doubt that more matches are yet to be announced, particularly given that no tag team championships are currently on the line.
Whether Dupri will factor in WrestleMania 42 plans remains to be seen, although AJ Lee did encourage her to keep fighting in exclusive footage shared by WWE following a recent episode of Raw, predicting see will become champion again.
