A WWE show has been nominated for multiple Sports Emmy Awards, with Triple H now commenting on the nominations.
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences have now announced its Sports Emmy Award nominations, honoring excellence in sports television.
WWE received several nods during the nominations, with Omaha Productions, NFL Films, Skydance Sports, WWE and Netflix’s WWE Unreal receiving three nominations.
The three Sports Emmys WWE Unreal has been nominated for are in the categories of Outstanding Sports Documentary Series: Serialized, Outstanding Sports Editing: Long Form and Outstanding Sports Graphic Design: Specialty.
Triple H took to Twitter to comment on the nominations, writing:
WWE: Unreal’s nomination for three Sports Emmys is a testament to the work and dedication of every single individual @WWE whose work makes us run.
Also, a massive thank you to our partners who helped bring this show to life and congratulations to all involved in the show and its production.
The first season of WWE Unreal premiered in 2025, with all five episodes released on Netflix on July 29.
This first season shared a backstage look at WWE Creative from the Raw on Netflix premiere that January to WrestleMania 41 in April.
Season two arrived on Netflix on January 20, also being five episodes long. The second season recapped the period between WrestleMania 41 and SummerSlam 2025 that August.
A number of stars within the company have shared mixed views about WWE Unreal, with Seth Rollins previously saying that he has a difficult relationship with the show.
Meanwhile the likes of Oba Femi have noted that they see it as watching the future play out, with the Ruler comparing the show to a popular meme.
While the show might be polarizing within the locker room, these Sports Emmy nominations show that the craft behind the show is respected by mainstream outlets.
