The Legacy Of Chuck Norris
In a world of movie action heroes, Chuck Norris had a place in the hearts of many fans of the genre, with standout roles in Bruce Lee’s The Way of the Dragon and a filmography of leading roles in his own right.
His last role was in Agent Recon, alongside fellow action hero, Marc Singer, marking his first role since The Expendables 2 in 2012, an entry in the movie series centered around genre stars.
There are those who may remember Norris from the meme about toughness and masculinity, in which an over-the-top situation would result in the martial artist overcoming the hypothetical odds (a la, “Chuck Norris can kill two birds with one stone”).
He was, however, a legitimate and multi-talented martial artist, holding a black belt and championships in a number of disciplines, as well as being an author, businessman and philanthropist.
Before his passing, Norris filmed Zombie Plane, where he plays Commander Chuck Norris in an Australian action comedy set for release later this year that uses its genres and 90s nostalgia as a storytelling element.
