A WWE name has been announced for a role in TKO Group Holdings’ Zuffa Boxing promotion, ahead of its first numbered event.
After hosting the Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford card in September 2025, Zuffa Boxing will hold its first numbered event – Zuffa Boxing 01 – on January 23, at the UFC Apex.
TKO and Zuffa Boxing have announced a list of on-air talent ahead of the event, with WWE commentator Joe Tessitore’s role with the boxing promotion confirmed.
As you can see in the graphic below, Joe Tessitore will serve as a play-by-play announcer for Zuffa Boxing.
Tessitore joines the lineup of Max Kellerman, Andre Ward, Antonio Tarver and Mike Coppinger, who were all listed as fight analysts. Mark Kriegel and Skipper Kelp were announced as additional analysts.
Joe Martinez will be the ring announcer for the promotion, Heidi Androl has been hired as a reporter, and Molly Qerim was listed as a host.
Prior to joining WWE in July 2024, Joe Tessitore had worked as an announcer with ESPN, where he called a variety of sports, including boxing and college football.
