An update has emerged on a possible tag team split coming in WWE with one of the team’s members providing some comments.
A partnership that was established on SmackDown last year was that of Giulia and Kiana James, with Giulia being called up from NXT and James returning from a lengthy injury.
Kiana James WWE Singles Success
At first, James was introduced as the manager of Giulia, helping guide Giulia to two Women’s United States Championship reigns thus far.
However, more recently, while Giulia remains champion, James has been having some success of her own as well, including a strong showing in the Royal Rumble and qualifying for this year’s WWE Elimination Chamber match.
In an interview with TMZ Inside The Ring, James commented on the dynamics of the partnership and what her personal success means for the duo.
Future Of Tag Team With Giulia
When asked if the team could be a “ticking time bomb,” she replied:
“Giulia and I have an understanding that this relationship is a working relationship. She brings her strengths to the table, I have my strengths, and we think that together, that’s mutually beneficial.
“So there are times that she has the spotlight and there are times that I have the spotlight. But we understand that we are just working towards building our brand together and that any one of us that has the spotlight is just building up our brand.
“We both understand that this is a working relationship. We both want to find success here at WWE.”
