A WWE Tag Team name has now been officially confirmed following a react championship victory on last week’s Raw show.
On last week’s episode of Raw, the Women’s Tag Team Championship changed hands, when Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY defeated the Kabuki Warriors to win the titles.
While Rhea and IYO had not officially been a tag team on WWE television, they have referred to themselves using the name ‘RHIYO’ since they first came together last year.
After winning the titles, Rhea and IYO were listed as ‘Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY’ on WWE’s official roster page, but that is no longer the case.
Today, WWE officially updated their roster page, with Rhea and IYO now officially being listed as ‘RHIYO’, in all caps, confirming that as the official name for the team.
RHIYO are set to make their first title defence at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24, with them defending the titles against Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez of the Judgment Day, who won a number one contender’s match on tonight’s episode of Raw in Dusseldorf.
