A WWE star has reacted to their recent confrontation with a celebrity guest on SmackDown, and a potential tag team split.
On last week’s episode of SmackDown, boxing star Terence Crawford made an appearance at ringside, where he handed Cody Rhodes a steel chair to help fight off Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.
On last night’s show, Crawford made another appearance, where he knocked out Austin Theory during an in-ring segment with former WWE Tag Team Champions Theory and Waller.
In another example of their recent tag team issues, Waller essentially invited Crawford to take a shot at Theory without even warning Theory in advance.
Taking to Twitter after the show, Waller responded to Crawford knocking out Theory, saying that it was a ‘smart move’ not to go after Waller, as well as praising Theory for going toe to toe with both Terence Crawford and Tyson Fury.
He said:
Smart move not touching me @terencecrawford, would have been a tough look getting dropped a week before your big fight.
Also huge shoutout to @_Theory1! Went toe to toe with Tyson Fury and now Terence Crawford. This man ain’t afraid of nobody #SmackDown
