One WWE star has stated that they would ‘love’ a match against Will Ospreay as the soon-to-be free agent has yet to announce his future plans.

WWE star Ricochet has commented that he would love to have a match against Will Ospreay again after a previous meeting between the pair has gone down in record books as a certified banger.

The 2017 NJPW match may have gone viral but Ricochet denies that it was an intention, rather the pair just going out to put on a great match.

So would Ricochet like to tangle in the ring again with Will Ospreay and perhaps make more magic? According to him, absolutely.

Ricochet told Haus of Wrestling:

“He’s like my little brother. Absolutely, I would absolutely love to have another opportunity for me and Ospreay to have another bout.

“Especially because I believe, the last one, I think he won. That’s so dumb. So, I would love to have my revenge on Will Ospreay in any capacity. Absolutely.

“But like you said, he’s doing his own thing. He’s making his own; he’s paving his own way. He’s doing his own thing on his own time. So, if it happens, it happens, but until then, I do just hope he stays healthy. Stop doing so much stuff and hurting yourself so much.”

The professional wrestling landscape is set for potential shakeups in 2024 as several notable contracts are set to expire, leading top stars to potential periods of free agency.

Will Ospreay has confirmed that his NJPW contract is up in February 2024, potentially paving the way for a commitment to AEW, WWE or elsewhere entirely.
