A WWE star has revealed their training plans for facing a “dangerous opponent” in high profile matches recently.
On last night’s October 20 episode of Raw, Maxxine Dupri challenged Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship in Dupri’s hometown of Sacramento.
Having also previously faced Lynch on October 6, Dupri has commented on her training ahead of these two big matches.
On the official WWE Raw Recap show, she said:
“There’s definitely been a lot of training that I’m not posting or sharing. I’m in The Dungeon, I’m training non-stop.
“Whether I’m at the Performance Center, at Flatbacks, in The Dungeon with Nattie and TJ, I’m really making sure that I’m in a place that when I’m going head-to-head with a WrestleMania main eventer, that I can hold my own.
“It’s scary in there with her. She’s extremely dangerous, as we saw tonight. There was a lot of hits and things that I was not expecting, but that’s why I have to keep going back to the drawing board and just keep preparing myself for whatever she tries to pull out next.
“I want this really badly and I want to be great. I think it’s something I’ve always wanted, I’ve always wanted to be great. But then you have these moments you come back and it’s like, ‘Oh, I fell short and I wasn’t great.’ And I don’t wanna feel that way ever again.
“So if that means that I need to be living in the ring until I can perform and come back and be proud of what I did… even tonight, I’m proud of myself for what I did in that ring, I’m proud of myself for how I held my own.
“But again, I want that title, I don’t just want a DQ win, although I will celebrate a hometown win, don’t get me wrong. But I want that Intercontinental Championship.”

Dupri has been learning on the job ever since her WWE main roster call-up in 2022, as she had basically no in-ring experience at that point.
Her match against Lynch last night ended when Lynch got herself disqualified to ensure she kept hold of the title.
