A WWE star has threatened to have WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia cancelled following this past weekend’s Royal Rumble.
Last week’s Royal Rumble event was the first event in the history of the Royal Rumble to take place outside of North America, being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This is the first of three events reportedly set to take place in Saudi Arabia in 2026, with next year’s WrestleMania 43 also set to take place in Riyadh.
However, following her ‘corrupt’ elimination at this year’s Royal Rumble, Becky Lynch vowed to make sure next year’s WrestleMania in Riyadh is cancelled.
Speaking in a YouTube video following her elimination from the Royal Rumble, she said:
“My feet never once touched the ground. My feet were in the air, they forced me out of there. Maybe my boots at one stage, when I went to stand up, maybe then, maybe then my boots touched the ground, but I have quite high lifts in them, so my feet actually never touched the ground.
“This is a travesty, and if this corruption continues, I’m going to have no other choice than to make sure WrestleMania is cancelled in Saudi Arabia, and you’ll have nobody to blame but yourself.”
