A rising WWE NXT star has revealed that they send matches to CM Punk and The Hardys for advice.
In only his second full year competing on the WWE roster Je’Von Evans has broken out as one of the company’s most promising young stars, with the 21-year-old recently putting in standout performances in back-to-back weeks of SmackDown.
While he’s yet to be officially called up to the main roster from NXT, he already taps in to many established stars for advice, as he revealed on the No Contest Wrestling podcast.
After naming both CM Punk and Jeff Hardy as two of his favorite wrestlers growing up, Evans revealed that he now sends matches to both stars, as well as fellow Carolina native Matt Hardy.
Evans said:
“Whenever I see Punk I talk to him. He watches NXT so I’m able to send my matches to him to get advice.
“Same thing with The Hardys. It’s easier for us because we’re both Carolina boys. So that kind of already builds a relationship right there.”

Evans said he’s “blessed” to be able to tap into the knowledge of Punk and The Hardys, naming Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman as other names he gets to “pick the brain of”:
“I’m blessed to be in position that I’m in right now. To be able to reach out to CM Punk, The Hardys, Randy, Cody, Seth, Paul. These are guys that are legends and I’m able to pick off their brain at the age of 21.
“At this age imagine if I keep listening to all these legends that’s giving me all this advice and picking their brain, imagine how dangerous I’ll be the older I get.”
