A WWE star has made his return to Raw during tonight’s October 20 episode of the show in Sacramento, California.
Tonight’s show played host to the announcement of Seth Rollins being stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship, as well as three other title matches.
One of those title matches, which has yet to take place as of this writing with the show still in progress, is Becky Lynch defending the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Sacramento’s own Maxxine Dupri.
In some notable news, Dupri was accompanied by both Akira Tozawa and Otis as she arrived for the show tonight.
Otis hadn’t been seen on WWE Raw since May, when he lost a match against Rusev.
He did make an in-ring return in WWE-acquired lucha libre promotion AAA at TripleMania as part of the Copa Bardahl match that was won by Omos in August.
Otis has also been working matches for WWE Main Event over the past few weeks, including as recently as last week in Australia.
He was defeated by Australia’s own Grayson Waller in that match.
However, tonight marks his first Raw appearance since the aforementioned match against Rusev in May.
We’ll keep you posted regarding the result of Lynch vs Dupri when the match takes place later in tonight’s show.
UPDATE – The match has now taken place, and ended with Lynch getting herself disqualified to ensure she keeps hold of the title.
In another update, Otis competed in the World Heavyweight Championship #1 contender’s battle royal later in the show.
It was won by Jey Uso, who will now face CM Punk for the World Title at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
