A WWE star made their return to television on tonight’s WWE Raw show after being out of action due to injury.
During the John Cena Last Time Is Now Tournament, an unfortunate injury occurred during Penta’s match with Solo Sikoa, where the match was called off after Penta suffered an injury coming off the barricade with a Hurricanrana.
The injury led to the match between Penta and Solo ending early, as well as Penta’s planned reunion with brother Rey Fenix in AAA being scrapped, with Rey Mysterio replacing Penta as Fenix’s partner.
It was reported earlier today that WWE was hoping to have Penta back in the fold by the Royal Rumble event, and it didn’t take that long for him to reappear.
During Austin Theory’s clash with Rey Mysterio, Logan Paul got involved to cause the disqualification victory for Rey, before he and Theory assaulted Rey.
Penta would make his return to save Rey from the attack, fending off Theory and Logan.
Dominik Mysterio ended up suffering an injury during Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix’s match at AAA Guerra de Titanes, with an update on his status being available here.
