WWE star Roxanne Perez has reflected on the “absolute insanity” of getting to hit her finishing move on John Cena during his penultimate match at Survivor Series 2025.
Two weeks before John Cena wrestled his final WWE match at Saturday Night’s Main Event against GUNTHER, the “Greatest of All Time” went toe-to-toe with Dominik Mysterio over the Intercontinental Championship.
Ahead of the match’s memorable finish, which saw Liv Morgan return to WWE and help “Dirty Dom” get the win, Mysterio had a helping hand in the form of The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.
After Mysterio suffered what appeared to be a shoulder injury during the match, Rodriguez and Perez hit the ring to inflict punishment on Cena – with “The Prodigy” hitting a Pop Rox on the 17-time world champion.
Reflecting on the moment with Going Ringside, Perez recalled Cena’s feud with The Rock being the reason she got into wrestling over a decade ago, making for a surreal full circle moment in San Diego at Petco Park.
Perez said:
“So him (John Cena) versus The Rock, Once in a Lifetime, that storyline was actually what made me fall in love with pro wrestling, so the fact that I got to be a part of something with him on his retirement tour is just absolute insanity.
“When people ask me if I thought that all of this would be happening, if I’d be in WWE, I say yes and no, because I did always think I would make it here, something always told me that I would make it possible.
“But I never expected all of these crazy things to come with it, like being in the ring with John Cena and giving him my finisher. Never expected that. So yeah, wrestling is crazy.”
