A WWE star has recalled being ‘thrown on TV’ just four weeks after signing with the company, and not having gear ready.

Tiffany Stratton made her WWE NXT debut in October 2021, where she faced off against Amari Miller on an episode of 205 Live, just weeks after signing with the company.

Following her debut on 205 Live, it was only around 7 more weeks before she would make her debut on NXT television, debuting in December 2021 after weeks of vignettes for her arrival.

Tiffany Stratton’s Very Quick WWE Debut

Tiffany has now opened up on the match, and how she had to order gear off Amazon for the match as she didn’t have any.

Speaking on the Nikki & Brie Show, she said:

“I got on TV so fast. Like, I don’t think you guys realize how fast I got on TV. I think people think like oh my god this person they picked it up so fast, this person they picked it up so fast. I picked it up very fast because I was thrown on TV like four weeks into my career.

“I think it was like four to six weeks, they had me on a 205 Live match with Amari Miller. I remember Shawn, I was in the PC lobby, I think I was grabbing a package or something, and Shawn comes in and he goes ‘can you have a match tomorrow?’ and it was like Monday night. I was like ‘yeah’. He’s like ‘you got gear?’ I said ‘yeah’, and I didn’t. I did not have gear. I wore this pink little skirt and this pink furry top from Amazon, and these shoes from Shein, so I wrestled in that.

“Then the match, everyone was like ‘oh my god, that was so amazing. That was your first match ever on TV’. And so after that, I think it was like maybe 6 to 8 weeks later, I was on NXT TV and they were vignetting me.”

Tiffany Stratton’s WWE Rise

Tiffany became NXT Women’s Champion in May 2023, winning the vacant championship from Lyra Valkyria in a tournament final.

Tiffany would then go on to be called up to the main roster at the 2024 Royal Rumble, before winning Money In The Bank just 5 months later, cashing in the briefcase to become WWE Women’s Championship.

Tiffany’s rise in WWE was incredibly fast, but with WWE looking to create as many new stars as possible in recent years, the company was right to invest highly in Stratton as a young, home grown star.
