A WWE star has opened up on how they stand out among the rest of the roster by representing a unique fan demographic.
Since Elton Prince’s unfortunate neck injury last year, Kit Wilson has reinvented himself as a singles star on SmackDown, with him now in a rivalry with Jelly Roll ahead of WrestleMania 42.
Kit’s rise in popularity has coincided with the debut of a new entrance theme, which very quickly captured the hearts of WWE fans.
The Inspiration For Kit Wilson’s WWE Theme Song
In an interview with WrestleRant, Kit Wilson was asked about the inspiration for his new theme song, and the conversations he had creating it.
Wilson listed carious ‘Girly Pop’ artists that he named as a reference for the song, saying:
“I think the overall inspiration I tried to get across, I sent a few emails and a few calls; Girly Pop is the music genre we’re calling it. Girly Pop.
“Specifically in the British realm, there’s a lot of new artists that are kind of picking up, but also worldwide. Charli XCX is a UK artist, Jade, formerly from Little Mix, was a UK artist I referenced, but I also referenced Jennie from Blackpink, that’s Korea. There was some American artists in there. The 1975, a big UK band that I love, there’s a little guitar riff in there that came from that, but the vibe; Girly Pop.

Kit Wilson’s Unique ‘Girly Pop’ Representation In WWE
Continuing on, Kit would comment on his ‘Girly Pop’ representation, and how it helps him stand out among WWE’s men’s roster.
He added:
“I think, at least for the men, I’ve got this audience and I don’t think any other male has that attention from that certain side of the audience, so I’m gonna do my part to represent. When my headphones are in, you can bet nine times out of ten it’s Girly Pop.”
