A name change for a new WWE star has been confirmed ahead of tonight’s November 4 episode of NXT on the CW Network.
A few weeks ago, the second season of WWE LFG concluded with Shiloh Hill and Dani Sekelsky emerging as the winners.
This put them in line to make their NXT debuts some time soon.
Sekelsky had been using her real name on LFG, but a name change for her has now been confirmed.
Earlier today, it emerged that WWE had trademarked the name Skylar Raye, which we suggested was likely for Sekelsky.
That has now been confirmed by WWE, as Dani Sekelsky is now Skylar Raye, and has been announced for the Speed Women’s Championship tournament.
Raye will face Fallon Henley in the tournament, with the other match being Wren Sinclair vs Zaria.
The winner of Raye vs Henley will face the winner of Sinclair vs Zaria to determine the new WWE Speed Women’s Champion.
The title was vacated by Sol Ruca on last week’s episode of NXT due to her injury.
We’ll keep you posted on the tournament progress and when a new champion is crowned.
