For well over a year, teases of a breakup between Grayson Waller and Austin Theory have been taking place on SmackDown and later Raw.

On tonight’s WWE Raw show, Grayson Waller told Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods that Austin Theory has been injured, and announced that A-Town Down Under is officially over.

Taking to Twitter following the show, Waller sent out a message to Theory and his fans, saying that they should be thankful for him saving Theory’s career.

He said:

“I just want to send out a quick message to all five of Austin Theory’s fans. I know tonight must have been hard, finding out that he’s A-Town Down and injured. But I just want to remind you this isn’t a time for commiseration, this is a time for celebration. You should be celebrating the fact that Big G, Grayson Waller, saved Austin Theory’s career.

“Remember two years ago when John Cena buried him alive on Monday Night Raw, I watch it all the time, it’s one of my favourite Raw moments of all time. Imagine where he’d be without Grayson Waller. I saved him, I gave him a WrestleMania moment, I gave him the WWE Tag Team Championship. Week in and week out he got to perform against the best in the world because of me.

“I know you’re watching this Austin lets be real, you’re hurt right now, you’ve got nothing else to do. So I just wanted to let you know as well. I just wasted two years of my career making you relevant, and now that that’s done, I can finally remind everyone just who Grayson Waller is.”

We wish Theory all the best following his injury.
