A WWE star has commented on their defeat on this week’s Raw show, explaining why it was ‘poetic’ for them.
The road to WWE SummerSlam kicked off on this week’s Monday Night Raw, with Becky Lynch’s Women’s Intercontinental Championship challenger being determined on the show.
The match saw Bayley face off with Lyra Valkyria in a two out of three falls match, which saw Lyra come back to win the match after losing the first fall to Bayley early in the match.
Lyra will now go on to face Becky for the championship at SummerSlam, and Bayley has commented on coming up short and losing her opportunity to Lyra.
Taking to Instagram, Bayley called the defeat ‘poetic’ that she lost her title shot to Lyra in the same building that she was betrayed by Damage CTRL last year.
She wrote:
