WWE’s Grayson Waller continues to troll his rivals, but fans think he may also be dropping more hints about an impending split of his own.
While the last several weeks have seen Grayson Waller having precarious interactions with his tag team partner Austin Theory, it has already been revealed that Theory is not in attendance for SmackDown tonight.
After Theory posted earlier about his absence, now Waller has posted from Chicago ahead of the show, reminiscing on a fond memory.
Well, it is fond for him anyway!
Waller posted a photo of himself standing at the entrance way in Chicago’s Allstate Arena tonight, along with a pair of other snaps from the same spot years ago.
The moments captured are just before and just after the betrayal at WWE NXT Takeover: Chicago where, after losing their main event tag team match against the Authors of Pain, DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) broke up.
Ciampa turned heel against Gargano and attacked him, leaving him laid out to the end the show.
While Waller is celebrating Ciampa’s former turn on Gargano, fans continue to wonder if there is a face turn coming for Austin Theory.
After two weeks of situations with Waller whereby it seemed that Theory was questioning their partnership and being reminded of his days buddied up with Gargano in The Way, it remains to be seen what might happen when Theory returns.
