A reality TV star has reacted to a recent WWE match pitch from a current champion in a somewhat heated exchange.
Having won the vacant NXT Heritage Cup, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo listed the names he felt should be contenders for his new title.
While the list did include a number of current WWE stars, including Lexis King and Randy Orton, Stacks would include a name familiar to Jersey Shore fans.
The last name on the list was Mike The Situation from the MTV reality series Jersey Shore and its recent revival under Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
‘The Situation’ has now reacted to the suggestion he steps into the WWE ring with Stacks in a tweet that stated:
“I promised someone I love very much that I would never go back to being that person… but for you, I’m going to make an exception.
“We have a Situation 😤”
Stacks would reply with a message for Mike Sorrentino, retorting:
“Mike…the only “SITUATION” you got right now is figuring out how to pay your taxes…
“And you’re not GTL’ing like you used to… you’re not in shape to compete with a @WWENXT champion my guy.
“This is a situation you’re not ready for.”
“GTL” refers to the Jersey Shore mantra of “Gym, Tan, Laundry”, becoming a popular catchphrase as a result.
Sorrentino would send quite the threat to Stacks for bringing up his history in a follow-up tweet, warning:
“Gonna break into your house, toast all your bread and put it back in the bag 🫵 @WWENXT”
While it’s yet to be seen if Stacks will cross paths with The Situation in a WWE NXT ring, the Heritage Cup is a title that isn’t on the line at the time of writing at the July 12 Great American Bash.
The card for WWE NXT Great American Bash at the Center Stage Theater in Atlanta, Georgia can be found here.
