A WWE champion has teased a list of potential opponents, with one name being considered ‘promising’ by a brand General Manager.

Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo is the current NXT Heritage Cup Champion, having won the vacated title on the June 24 episode with a victory over Tony D’Angelo.

Seemingly putting the feud behind the pair in the rear-view mirror, Stacks has turned his attention to potential names that he considers to be contenders.

Sharing a list of eight names on Twitter, Stacks referred to himself as the Don of NXT, as he pitched the contenders to NXT GM Ava, tweeting:

“Now that I’m the Heritage Cup Champion and Don of NXT, I’m calling the shots for my next match.

“@avawwe_ let’s make one of these fights happen.”

The list of names to make the cut would be, in order:

‘Fat’ Lexis King, Santino Marella, Gregory Paul, A-Train, Randy Orton Jr, Koko B. Ware, Johnny Saint, and Mike ‘The Situation’.

One of those names was considered ‘promising’, according to Ava, who shot back with a tweet that read:

“#4 is promising”

#4 would be A-Train, known to many as Matt Bloom, the head trainer of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Bloom was known to WWE fans as A-Train from 2002 until his release in November 2004 and is a former Intercontinental Champion.

He would return to the independent scene and head to NJPW before being re-hired by WWE in March 2012.

In April of that year, Bloom would be re-introduced to WWE fans as Lord Tensai, before transitioning to a commentary role in NXT starting in January 2014.

Bloom would retire from in-ring competition in that year, moving to a trainer role at the Performance Center, and now serves as head trainer.

At the time of writing, it doesn’t appear that Stacks will get his wish, although WrestleTalk will keep readers updated.
