A vignette that aired on tonight’s SmackDown capped off with the text on-screen ‘Coming Soon’.
You can see the video below for yourself, which featured imagery of cars as well as a police chase.
It also included interstitial city shots that were notably landmarks of the city of Detroit.
Fans online are speculating this was done as a nod to the impending debut of the Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin.
It’s been reported over the past few weeks that MCMG were WWE-bound, although it was initially believed they’d be starting in NXT.
At this point it’s still speculation, so we’ll keep you posted with any further updates on what the video was for if any new info comes to light.
Elsewhere on tonight’s SmackDown, the opening match of the night had to be stopped after a returning star was unable to continue.
After returning to WWE to kick off the show, AJ Styles would go on to compete in a match against Carmelo Hayes after an interaction in the ring.
However, Styles would ultimately suffer an injury to his ankle that prevented him from continuing and the match was called off.
Carmelo Hayes would then go on to receive a BFT from LA Knight who had been watching the match from ringside.
