‘So Incredible’ – Booker T Praises Roxanne Perez After WWE Success

Booker T has shared his thoughts on Roxanne Perez and her WWE success, having been instrumental in training the Judgment Day member.

A product of the Reality of Wrestling training school, Roxanne Perez trained under Booker T before signing with WWE in March 2022.

Speaking on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast, Booker T reflected on the rise of his former student and what she has brought to the table, saying:

“It’s amazing. She picked up on all the teachings, all the knowledge. Everything was about making her as good as I possibly can make someone, and she took it and really made it her own.

“I remember when Becky Lynch came down, and she did the program with Roxanne before Roxanne left (NXT) and went to the main roster. Just to watch her be able to perform at that level with someone like Becky, I was like ‘Wow!’

“The best wrestlers are the best listeners, and when it’s time for them to really get their stuff in, boom! They don’t have to think about it, they don’t have to ask any questions. She got to that level.

“I used to always critique her after every match, she would always still come up to me and go ‘Booker, how did I do?’ If there was something, I’d give it to her. The final time she came to me, she goes ‘Book, what did you see tonight?’ I go ‘I don’t think I can critique you anymore, I really don’t.’ She’s at that point where she can teach herself, she understands making her own mistakes. Man, she’s so incredible as a performer.”

With Perez as a member of Judgment Day, Liv Morgan has recently spoken about taking the star under her wing, saying that the “future of WWE is more than safe” in her hands.

Shining Through In The Judgment Day

Brought into Judgment Day by Finn Balor, Roxanne Perez has seen her star rise on the main roster, securing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Raquel Rodriguez.

With Liv Morgan in prime position as a member of Judgment Day, it’d be easy for Perez to be left in the shadows, yet she manages to stand out, not just in the ring but as a character. Seeing Perez next to the imposing presence of Rodriguez, the former NXT Women’s Champion doesn’t shy away from the action, even though that would be a well-trodden approach to take.

Finn Balor may have attempted to free Perez from Judgment Day, but the star is very much there to stay for the time being, with AJ Lee even commenting that she hopes Perez and Morgan don’t break up.

Their most recent match may have seen them come up short against the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Paige & Brie Bella, but there’s little doubt that more titles are in the future for the Perez.
