A returning WWE star has set a date for his re-debut in a vignette that aired on tonight’s episode of SmackDown from Berlin, Germany.
While tonight’s SmackDown saw a big match between Ludwig Kaiser and LA Knight, an exiled member of Imperium also made an appearance on the show via video package.
The latest video hyping up the return of Giovanni Vinci came with confirmation of his return date.
The video noted that Giovanni Vinci will officially be returning on next week’s September 6 episode of SmackDown.
Vinci in his previous iteration was written off of WWE television after a brutal attack by former faction mate Ludwig Kaiser, ousting him from Imperium.
For his upcoming return it appears that Vinci is going back to something close to the character he portrayed in NXT 2.0 after Kaiser and GUNTHER were initially called up to the main roster without him.
Kaiser answered LA Knight’s open challenge for the United States Championship on tonight’s SmackDown in his home country of Germany, but Knight retained.
Tomorrow at Bash In Berlin, GUNTHER defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton.
