A former WWE star has addressed uncertainty surrounding his presentation for his recent return to the company.
Matt Cardona recently made his WWE main roster return for the first time in five years, wrestling LA Knight as Zack Ryder in the John Cena Last Time is Now tournament on the November 14 SmackDown episode.
With Downstait’s version of his old “Radio” WWE entrance music revealing Zack Ryder as the surprise opponent, Cardona has revealed that he didn’t know which song WWE was going to use as his entrance music ahead of that moment.
Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm, Matt Cardona recalled his thoughts ahead of his entrance music being played, noting:
“Before I walked through the curtain (I thought) what music are they gonna play? I know they’re not playing Alwayz Ready… but I don’t know for sure.
“I know they’re going to play Radio, but are they playing the old version? The Downstait version? Is it going to have the Woo, Woo, Woo beforehand? I had no clue.
“You guys heard it the same time I heard it. I’m kinda glad they went with the Downstait version. It was such a mash-up because it was the Downstait version with like my 2011 tron, but then I’m wearing 2025 Matt Cardona/Zack Ryder gear, wearing the 2011 shirt which was released in 2025.”
