WWE CCO Triple H has confirmed a move from Raw to SmackDown ahead of Monday’s Raw Netflix premiere.
With Raw about to make its highly anticipated premiere on Netflix this coming week, the WWE commentary teams are being shaken up, with Michael Cole reuniting with Pat McAfee on the red brand.
While previous reports indicated that recent Raw announcer Joe Tessitore would be heading to SmackDown, this hadn’t been confirmed by WWE, until now.
Speaking with Jimmy Traina on the SI Media podcast, Triple H confirmed that Tessitore will now be a commentator on the blue brand.
Praising Tessitore for his WWE run so far, Triple H said:
“He’s such a massive fan. Even before he was doing anything with us, Joe would text me on stuff. We became friends through Nick.
“He would be telling me, ‘I saw on this podcast,’ and I don’t even know what he’s talking about, and it’s my job to know what he’s talking about.”
A number of major matches have been confirmed for the January 6 Raw Netflix premiere, including Seth Rollins vs CM Punk, Liv Morgan vs Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship, and Roman Reigns vs Solo Sikoa facing off in Tribal Combat.
