WWE Raw has its Netflix premiere on January 6, 2025, with matches already announced for the first show of the new year.
On the January 6 episode, Liv Morgan defends the WWE Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley on a show that will also feature ‘Tribal Combat’ between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, as well as CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins.
Recently, it was reported that there was backstage uncertainty over how long WWE Raw on Netflix would be having been two hours for the past several months on USA Network.
Dave Meltzer has now provided an answer to the runtime uncertainty in the F4W Online Daily Update.
According to a “key player in WWE”, Meltzer states that, as “everyone expects”, the show will be three hours come January.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer provided more details, saying:
“One of the things that they had told me is: ‘The beauty of Netflix is that we don’t have to fit a show into a time slot’. But the thing is there are still places in the world where these shows are still on television where you need to fit it into the time slot.
“Raw will still be on television in India for a couple months, Germany, the Philippines and Japan and a lot of places they still have existing TV deals so until those TV deals go away… The stations have to know how long these shows are going to be week-to-week.
“There will come a time, and it’s not too far away, where Raw won’t be on TV and at that point they’ll have a lot more leeway and they probably won’t have to hit a time cue.”
