On the October 26 edition of Monday Night Raw, Sami Zayn defeated Je’Von Evans to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.
This marked the second time that Zayn has ever stepped in the ring with “The Young OG,” but it still felt like a fresh matchup.
There are plenty of WWE stars that Zayn could step in the squared circle with in a first-time ever meeting.
Here are four first-time WWE opponents for Sami Zayn.
Penta
At WWE Money In The Bank 2026, Penta defeated Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, Kevin Owens and CM Punk to win the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
Since then, Penta has been riding high and teasing a cash-in on Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn.
While he has history with Roman Reigns from their World Heavyweight Championship match in Mexico, it seems more likely Penta will face Zayn for his title sometime down the road.
Penta dethroning Zayn to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion could happen at any point and would mark their first meeting against one another.
Johnny Gargano
Over the past few months, Sami Zayn has confided in and befriended Johnny Gargano.
After Gargano was lying motionless on a crate backstage for months, “Johnny Wrestling” made his return in September and has since become the closest companion of Zayn.
Now working together as a unit, Zayn and Gargano have shown their loyalty to one another.
Promising him a future title shot, Zayn could one day clash with his friend Gargano in what would be a first-time matchup for both men.
Jacob Fatu
Since signing with WWE in 2024, Jacob Fatu has positioned himself as a major star on the main roster.
“The Samoan Werewolf” has been a fixture in the main event picture and is now aligned firmly with his family in The Bloodline.
There are still a multitude of WWE stars that Fatu has never stepped in the ring with despite their history with himself and The Bloodline.
Zayn facing Fatu could be a battle between present and former members of The Bloodline that could see “The Samoan Werewolf” bring the Undisputed WWE Championship to the family.
Oba Femi
There might not be a hotter star on the WWE roster today on the level of Oba Femi.
“The Ruler” came to the WWE main roster at the beginning of 2026 and has gone on to defeat Brock Lesnar twice.
After seemingly retiring Lesnar, Femi feels like one of the biggest stars in WWE and destined to become a world champion.
Femi challenging Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship could see him hold the top prize in the company sooner rather than later.
