A current WWE Raw star’s fiancé is among the names taking part in the tryouts being held during SummerSlam week in New Jersey.
As has become an annual tradition, WWE is holding tryouts in conjunction with WWE SummerSlam 2025 taking place at MetLife Stadium this weekend.
In a new move this year, tickets are actually being sold for fans to attend and watch the tryouts take place.
One particularly notable name who’ll be taking part in the tryouts this week is LJ Cleary, the fiancé of Raw’s Lyra Valkyria.
Cleary was actively involved in Valkyria’s match against Becky Lynch at Backlash in May, as Lynch confronted him sitting in the crowd.
He’s a well respected wrestler in his own right, having wrestled for the likes of OTT, Pro Wrestling NOAH, NJPW, CZW, DEFY and more.
Here are several other names confirmed for the WWE SummerSlam week tryouts – a list that includes a combination of indie wrestlers and those coming in as athletes from other sports:
LJ Cleary, Ben Bishop, Meghan Walker, Mike Cunningham,
Goldenboy Santos, Zoe Sager, Jha’Quan McNair,
CBL, Rayne Leverkusen, Anita Vaughan, Ariana Milan, Eli Knight, Will Kroos, Ellen B Akesson,
Eduardo Godinho, Vincent King, Zoe Hines, CJ Felder, Aeden Begue
Goldenboy Santos and Rayne Leverkusen also took part in the WWE tryouts that were held in London a few months ago.
Meghan Walker is signed to a WWE NIL deal, joining that program in the same class as Brock Rechsteiner (Scott Steiner’s son), Jacob Henry (Mark Henry’s son) and TJ Bullard (Titus O’Neil’s son) earlier this year.
