Another title change has taken place during tonight’s January 5, 2026 episode of WWE Raw at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Earlier tonight, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from the Kabuki Warriors – Asuka and Kairi Sane.
Later in the show, there has now been another championship that’s changed hands in the Raw women’s division.
Becky Lynch is a now a two-time Women’s Intercontinental Champion as she defeated Maxxine Dupri to win the title tonight.
Dupri had held the championship since November, when she defeated Lynch at the Madison Square Garden edition of WWE Raw.
This win makes Lynch the first ever two-time Women’s Intercontinental Champion. She countered a Dupri submission attempt with a leveraged pin for the win.
The lineage of the championship is now made up of Lyra Valkyria, Becky Lynch, Maxxine Dupri and now Becky Lynch as champion again.
Still to come in the main event of tonight’s Raw – which is a Stranger Things themed episode – is another title match as CM Punk defends the World Heavyweight Championship against The Vision’s Bron Breakker.
