Ricky Saints has made his first comments after becoming WWE NXT Champion at tonight’s No Mercy premium live event.
Saints picked up the win in the main event, dethroning Oba Femi who had held the NXT Championship since January.
In a new video shared by WWE on social media, Saints has now commented on his win, saying:
“What a wild ride so far. I’m not one to be at a loss for words, but tonight’s different. Tonight is very, very special.
“Tonight is a culmination of things that I didn’t think was possible, but I made it so.
“And not just me – people supported me, people believed in me, fans, everybody.
“And now, the Absolute Era truly begins.”

Ricky Saints joined WWE in February just a day after leaving AEW, and had already held the NXT North American Championship before winning the NXT Title tonight.
Saints becomes only the second person to defeat Oba Femi since Femi’s NXT TV debut in April 2023, with the only other being Tony D’Angelo.
