A WWE star has celebrated their first singles victory on television since July 2020 after the May 26 episode of Raw.
Last night’s episode of WWE Raw saw Kairi Sane face Liv Morgan in a first-time encounter on television.
The Judgment Day member returned on WWE Raw, to find some behind-the-scenes changes thanks to Roxanne Perez and her interest in Dominik Mysterio.
With Morgan losing to Sane in a singles match on the show, it would be Raquel Rodriguez who would come under fire for the loss.
Sane celebrated her victory on Twitter following a match that marked her first televised singles match since July 2020, tweeting:
“Finally… I won!!!!!!!
“It’s all thanks to your support.💎”
The post was accompanied, as can be seen below, by a photo of Sane looking ecstatic following her victory on WWE Raw.
The July 20 2020 episode of WWE Raw saw Kairi Sane defeat Bayley shortly before her departure, although she would continue as an ambassador and trainer.
Sane returned to WWE at Crown Jewel in 2023 and would be closely associated with Damage CTRL, mainly competing in tag-team matches following her comeback.
A late 2024 injury would see her out of action, returning on the May 19 episode of WWE Raw the following year.
While last night’s match was Sane’s first televised singles match in nearly five years, she did compete in the WWE Women’s Speed Title Tournament in 2024, beating Elektra Lopez in September and losing to Candice LeRae in October.
As these WWE Speed matches aired exclusively on Twitter, Kairi’s match against Liv Morgan marked her first one-on-one victory on actual WWE TV since July 2020.
