Austin Theory has shared his thoughts on the “disrespectful” attitude of IShowSpeed, who cost The Vision their WrestleMania moment last month.
WrestleMania 42 Night 1 on April 18 opened with The Vision (Logan Paul & Austin Theory) teaming up with IShowSpeed to take on The Usos & LA Knight.
IShowSpeed had found himself drawn into the match after being cursed by Danhausen and subsequently hitting LA Knight with a pair of brass knuckles that were meant to be in the possession of Logan Paul.
Knight and The Usos would be victorious, with IShowSpeed getting a moment of revenge over Logan Paul after being knocked to the floor by the World Tag Team Champion.
Ahead of WWE Backlash this Saturday, Austin Theory appeared on ESPN SportsCenter and was asked about IShowSpeed, dismissing the YouTuber as disrespectful, saying:
“(Groans) Speed’s talented, all right, I’ll give him that, but he’s very disrespectful, you know, especially for everything that Austin Theory and Logan Paul did for him in The Vision.
“He might have had a chance to join us, but the disrespect, man. He’s on our team. Why’s he doing that?
“Everything that he learned in that match. All his athletic abilities that people were impressed with at WrestleMania, it came from Austin Theory and Logan: the greatest Tag Team Champions in the world… and the universe.”

With Theory having paused and called out the host for replaying the clip of IShowSpeed splashing Logan Paul through the announce table, the WWE star would be asked what he thought of that moment, responding:
“Come on, man, you wanna do this today?
“Look, that’s my brother, Logan Paul, right there. That’s a billion dollars laying on that table.
“Someone like Speed coming into our home and disrespecting us. Some streamer, you know what I mean.
“And, people like to call Logan Paul the YouTube guy and stuff. I feel like Logan Paul invented YouTube, but he’s beyond that now. He’s a credible WWE superstar and a champion at that.
“It hits deep seeing Speed turn on us like that and give The Usos and that LA Knight loser the victory. It’s just disrespectful.
“And, now, me and Logan Paul, as great as we are, have to have that WrestleMania loss on our record, all because of Speed.”

Theory would also discuss what can be expected when his Vision teammate, Bron Breakker, faces Seth Rollins at Backlash, stating that the veteran star will be heading to retirement.
The YouTube Guy Dominates In WWE
For many, Logan Paul’s name is synonymous with streaming, particularly on YouTube, where his channel has 23.6m subscribers at the time of writing.
It perhaps wasn’t unexpected that, in the quest for crossover media exposure, WWE would bring Logan Paul in back 2021, inserting him into a storyline with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
What was, perhaps, more of a surprise was seeing Logan Paul compete for the first time at WrestleMania 38 Night 1, witnessing him team with The Miz, defeating The Mysterios. It wasn’t the fact that a celebrity was competing in WWE or on a major PLE, it was somewhat of a surprise that Logan Paul was as good as he was.
The talent was recognized early in Paul’s run as an in-ring star, with Eric Bischoff decalaring him to be better than “98% of people on most rosters we know of” in comments made back in 2023.
For Paul, this wasn’t just something he was dipping into when the big shows came calling, either, having signed a long-term, full-time contract earlier this year. One-half of the current World Tag Team Champions, with Austin Theory, Logan Paul is also a former United States Champion, with a 273-day reign, indicating that there is ample faith in the star carrying the gold.
The orbit of Logan Paul has brought other streamers into WWE’s atmosphere, with IShowSpeed perhaps being the most successful example. It’s likely something that will continue, although there isn’t an indication that Paul sees it as an opportunity to just bring in anyone he knows. His association with IShowSpeed has demonstrated that he knows what is likely to land on screen, something that he’s showcased as a star in his own right, winning over a fanbase who may not be the ones who follow him in endeavours beyond WWE.
