WWE reportedly “thinks the world” of an NXT star’s potential, with a main roster call-up likely coming in the near future.

Arriving in WWE in 2022 with a background in acrobatics and tumbling rather than pro wrestling, Sol Ruca has ascended the NXT ladder over the past three years – becoming one of the most popular stars on the brand and currently reigning as the NXT Women’s North American Champion.

While Ruca has yet to reach the very top of the NXT women’s division, her time on the brand may potentially be coming to an end soon – with WWE officials said to be high on the 25-year-old star’s potential according to WrestleVotes Radio:

“We are told there are several people within WWE, some with direct influence on the main roster, who absolutely love Sol Ruca and think the world of her potential.”

While NXT would likely hope to keep Ruca around on the brand, there is reportedly a “growing sense internally” that a main roster call-up may be coming soon:

“While those in NXT would like to keep her around as long as possible, there is a growing sense internally that her time on the main roster is coming and that she is more than ready for the challenge… some on the main roster want her up and want her up quick.”

Sol Ruca successfully defended her NXT Women’s North American Championship yet again on Tuesday’s NXT, defeating Tatum Paxley.

While it has been reported that WWE Speed has been “quietly dropped”, Ruca is also the reigning Women’s WWE Speed Champion and was seen still wearing the belt on Tuesday’s show.

We will provide further updates on Ruca’s potential main roster call-up plans as more information becomes available.
