WWE’s plans for an upcoming head-to-head clash with AEW have now been revealed.
Following NXT Battleground and AEW Double or Nothing both airing at the same time on Sunday, May 25 – WWE and AEW are set to go up against each other again in six weeks time, with WWE announcing that NXT Great American Bash will take place in Atlanta on Saturday, July 12 – the same day as AEW All In Texas.
With WWE said to be planning to put on more events against AEW in 2025, a new update has emerged on WWE’s plans for Great American Bash.
According to the event’s listing on WWE.com, NXT Great American Bash is set to begin at 2:30pm ET, meaning it would run head-to-head with AEW All In Texas which starts at 2:00pm CT (3:00pm ET).
While AEW All In Texas has both its men’s and women’s World Championship matches set in stone following the conclusion of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments, NXT Great American Bash currently has no matches announced.
It does however, have NXT Champion Oba Femi, Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca, Stephanie Vaquer and TNA World Champion Trick Williams all listed to appear.
While these listings are always subject to change, there has been reports suggesting that Stephanie Vaquer is set to be called up to WWE’s main roster after WWE & AAA Worlds Collide on June 7.
