Former WWE Champion Wins First Title Since Release

A former WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion has won her first title since being released back in May of this year.

Gigi Dolin would part ways with WWE having signed with the company back in January 2021, returning to the independent wrestling scene under her Priscilla Kelly name.

Her return to the independent scene hasn’t all been smooth sailing, however, with a match being abruptly stopped due to what would later be described as an “anatomy issue“.

On the upside of her independent wrestling run, Priscilla Kelly has now added her first championship since her WWE release.

Adrenaline Championship Wrestling Burnie Beatdown took place on August 10 and saw Kelly in a triple threat match for the ACW Fire Women’s Championship.

With Nahir Robles and now-former ACW Fire Women’s Champion Riley Krowe completing that three-way, it would be Kelly would would walk away with the title.

Adrenaline Championship Wrestling celebrated the victory on Twitter in a post that reads:

“Priscilla Kelly has won her first championship since leaving #WWENXT ..

“As she is the new..

“Adrenaline Championship Wrestling..

“Fire 🔥 Women’s Champion !!

“She won the title tonight in Glen Burnie MD .”

Kelly would also share her own emoji-laden post on Twitter, which featured a backstage photo with her new championship and the message:

“And new 🧡 🥀 👅 🫦 😉

“#HellsFavoriteChampion 😈”

During her run in WWE, the former Gigi Dolin was a two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Jacy Jayne.

Jayne continues in WWE and is the current TNA Knockouts World Champion alongside being NXT Women’s Champion.
