The War Raiders have commented on their WWE World Tag Team Championship win after defeating the Judgment Day.
Last night’s WWE Raw saw War Raiders claim championship gold in a match that can be seen below this news story.
The match wasn’t without outside interference, however, with Damian Priest preventing Finn Balor from bringing a chair into the ring.
Speaking in exclusive comments backstage after their win, Erik and Ivar got emotional as they discussed their road back to the top, with Ivar saying:
“It’s been a long, long, hard, vicious, brutal, trying road. Not only the last five years, but our whole careers and the setbacks, the heartaches and the disappointments, the failures, the surgeries and everything we’ve been through.
“To be here tonight, we’re in my hometown, we’re in Boston in front of my family and my friends and, to be here, it couldn’t be more emotional or perfect to me to know that the things that we did got us here today.”

Erik would share his thoughts, revealing the difficulties of their careers, stating:
“There were points in the last five years but also in the last ten years where both of us were told, more than once, we would never wrestle again… we might never walk again. I might not be able to hold my sons.
“Through all that, we’re still here. Through all that, we have these. I don’t think there’s anything that I could ever say that to encapsulate what that means to use as performers, as professionals or as people.
“Ezekiel, Cash boy, poppa did it.”
