With WWE SmackDown moving to three hours, Dave Meltzer has stated that another lead writer was required as there was “so much going on right now.”

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer also revealed the key names in the WWE creative team.

Brian James and John Swikata are the lead writers for SmackDown.

Ryan Ward and Jon Baeckstrom lead the creative team for Raw.

Overseeing and editing scripts is Ed Koskey, while Bruce Prichard sits as a buffer between the teams and Triple H.

Triple H has served as the Chief Content Officer in WWE since September 2022.

Prichard took a leave of absence from WWE in November 2024 and returned to the company in January 2025.

It was recently reported that, in the absence of Triple H and Nick Khan, Prichard ran the January 20, 2025 episode of WWE Raw.
