A WWE star has opened up about getting too comfortable during his time with the company, commenting on his current mindset.

Following a masked man interfering in several matches to help out The Vision, it was revealed on the December 15 Raw episode that the mystery assailant was none other than Austin Theory.

With Theory joining forces with The Vision, the former WWE US Champion has addressed his future, and past accolades.

Speaking on WWE Raw Recap, Theory stated that while he previously allowed himself to get comfortable, he’s now ready to take what he wants.

He explained:

“When I really sit back , like I did, and think about it, I went from a lot of big moments so quick in my career. I think I kind of lost myself, I did, I got comfortable.

“Like I said before, (I was) waiting for somebody to give me a handout, give me something because of me feeling like I deserved it.

“I feel like my whole life I’ve worked for everything that I had, and at a young age getting to the WWE, accomplishing the things that I’ve done, I just got to a point…

“The Vision just takes, and they’re not waiting for anything. Back at home when I’m watching, it was like, I can sit here and I can wait, point the finger and blame whoever I want, but I can also point it at myself.

“I know at the end of the day,  if there’s anything I truly want, I can have, but I’ve got to take it. I’ve got to put in that effort. I know exactly what to do, The Vision was the perfect opportunity for that.”

Admitting that he was waiting for more opportunities following past accomplishments, rather than stepping forward for them himself, he continued:

“I can admit that. Being the youngest Mr Money in the Bank, the youngest US Champ, beating John Cena at WrestleMania, walking in the US Champ, walking out the US Champ, I was in a place back then where I just hung onto that stuff so much.

“Especially the John Cena thing, I don’t know how many times I said his name and tried to tell everybody that I did this. It’s one of those things, where I’m at right now mentally, people should already know that, I shouldn’t have to tell you.

“That’s kind of where I’m at now with things, you’re gonna see me accomplish stuff, you’re gonna see me take whatever I want, I’m not chasing moments any more, they’re going to come to me. When you see that, you’ll know, I won’t have to tell you.”
