The World Heavyweight Championship match for WWE Clash In Paris on August 31 was announced during tonight’s episode of Raw.
Main eventing tonight’s Raw was a tag team match with CM Punk and LA Knight teaming up against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
The match ended via disqualification when World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins showed up and attacked Punk and Knight.
Coming out to interrupt what was now a three-on-two beatdown from Rollins, Breakker and Reed on Punk and Knight was Jey Uso who attempted to even things up.
WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce then came out, and said that he wasn’t going to get angry at Rollins for ruining the main event, but he was going to use this as an opportunity.
To be specific – an opportunity to announce the World Heavyweight Championship match for WWE Clash in Paris.
As announced by Pearce, Rollins will defend his title at Clash In Paris in a four-way match against Jey Uso, LA Knight and CM Punk.
A few days ago, WWE confirmed Roman Reigns for Clash In Paris, but he wasn’t mentioned as part of this announcement, so his role at the event remains unknown.
Also confirmed for Clash In Paris as things stand is John Cena vs Logan Paul, as well as Naomi defending the Women’s World Championship against Stephanie Vaquer.
However, Naomi was supposed to defend her title against IYO SKY on Raw tonight, but the match was canceled due to Naomi not being medically cleared.
